Jane Herman
Hello, my name is Jane Herman. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you about my family. My husband, Don, grew up in London, and we moved ‘back home’ 15 years ago to raise our children here. Our children are 12 and 14 years old and go to school at London City Schools. We are members of the First Presbyterian Church of London and if any of you have a 14 year old daughter, you know we need your prayers!
I started working with seniors in assisted living 17 years ago. Most of those years have been in the capacity as director of a community. I have always had a passion for working with seniors and I love to spend my day making a difference in someone‘s life. It is a blessing that most people don’t have the opportunity to have in their career.
I look forward to sharing our wonderful new community with you and I promise that I will take extraordinary care of your family.
Mary Richey
Hello, my name is Mary Richey. I have been blessed to work with seniors for the past 13 years and I am so excited to be working on this project with Jane Herman! My husband Doug & I live in S. Charleston and we raised our two children there. They are now married and we are blessed to have three precious grandchildren to love and enjoy! My husband and I have also worked with the youth at our church for 30+ years.
My first experience with assisted living began when it became apparent a newly widowed aunt could not live alone. Helping her began a 13 year career for me as an Activity Director. When I first met Jane I knew she got IT – IT is intangible, but unmistakable when you feel it. We both share a passion for seniors and a commitment to helping them live life to the fullest.
Having the opportunity to help with the planning on this project has been so exciting! I’m looking forward to having activities themed around the Bluebird’s Malt Shop, Theater and Hearth room…a dream come true for me! I hope you will stop in and feel the Bluebird difference!
